V0.2.0 Update (Fabienne!)

v0.2.0 Patch Notes

First of all, I want to thank everyone for their support for this project! I read every one of your comments and reviews and it means a ton that you're enjoying the game. I hope this update lives up to your expectations, and that you'll look forward to character number 3...

A special thanks to Archie Williams, who provided sketches for the art used during Fabienne's intro and game over scenes. (@archiewilliamsmh.bsky.social)

Main changes:

-Fabienne, the sheep-strain Beastie has been added to the game! Watch out for those mean hooves.

-One short Visit event has been added for Blanche. Join her on her very last livestream!

-The sea-born vandal Reine is revealed! It's something a little different from the last two characters, but I hope you'll give her a chance! Not that it matters to her - she'll smear you across the pavement whether you like her or not. (Next character will go back to bare-pawed stomping, I promise!)

-A downloadable version has been made available. If you plan on playing this game often and keeping up with updates, this is the one to play! Your progress is lost in the Web version if I update the game, but this is not the case for the downloadable version.

Small changes:

-You can now paws the game by pressing Escape during a fight.

-Olive is now correctly rendered in front of the Beastie's foot when the foot is on the floor.

-Can no longer cheese Beasties by just running against the sides of the map.

-Text box during cutscenes has been sped up, and an arrow appears when you can advance the text.

-Some minor bugs related to the in-game text box have been fixed.

-"Reset Upgrades" no longer steals your money.

-Fixed some minor inaccuracies in some cutscenes.

-Main Menu updated with disclaimer and new links, including Patreon. But not to worry, all donations are OPTIONAL and the game will always remain free!

As a heads up, Reine's update will take a little longer than Fabienne's. I'll be a little busier from now, and Reine's fight is a lot more ambitious than the previous ones. Also, new Deltarune chapters soon... You can bet I'll be MIA during the first week of that release!
